Whether pancreatic cancer can be cured usually depends on the stage of the disease. For early-stage pancreatic cancer, surgical removal of the tumor or part of the pancreas is typically performed and the condition is generally treatable. However, as pancreatic cancer is a highly aggressive tumor with rapid progression, it is usually incurable once it has reached an intermediate or advanced stage.
