Before undergoing back liposuction, patients need to have a physical examination, such as urine tests, electrocardiogram (ECG), liver function tests, etc. The plastic surgeon will determine the treatment plan, identifying the specific areas for fat removal and the amount of fat to be extracted. Then, an anesthetic is administered, and small incisions are made at the targeted sites. Through these incisions, the ultrasound-assisted liposuction probe is inserted, and moved repeatedly in multiple directions to break up fat cells, allowing the fat to be suctioned out.
