Symptoms of acute pleurisy
Disease description:
Yesterday, I suddenly experienced chest pain and was diagnosed with acute pleurisy after going to the hospital. I would like to know what symptoms acute pleurisy can cause?
The main symptoms of acute pleurisy include chest pain and chest tightness, with some patients also experiencing referred pain in the abdomen, neck, or shoulders. When caused by a viral infection, patients may develop headache, fever, and muscle aches. Additionally, symptoms such as coughing, sputum production, shallow and rapid breathing—especially during deep breaths—may occur. In severe cases, patients may experience difficulty breathing.
