Candidal vaginitis usually refers to candidiasis of the vagina. Patients commonly experience itching of the external genitalia; in severe cases, the itching becomes more pronounced and may cause restlessness. Some patients may also have increased vaginal discharge, which is typically thick, white, and resembles curds or tofu residue. This condition is often accompanied by symptoms such as burning sensation and pain in the external genital area.
