Pelvic fluid accumulation after hysterectomy may be a normal physiological phenomenon, such as intestinal fluid or follicular fluid, and usually does not cause discomfort. However, it could also result from underlying diseases, such as pelvic tumors or pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease can lead to fluid accumulation in the pelvis, abdominal pain, fever, and increased vaginal discharge, and is commonly treated with anti-inflammatory medications. Pelvic tumors, on the other hand, typically require surgical treatment.
