This condition is generally caused by middle-aged weakness and degenerative changes, prolonged standing, long-term walking, or maintaining certain postures for extended periods. Patients with numbness may be prescribed vitamin B medications; joint swelling is treated locally with fluid aspiration or local block therapy.
