Causes, Risks, and Treatment Methods of Gastric Ptosis
Disease description:
Diagnosed with gastric ptosis, but no obvious related symptoms in daily life. What are the causes, risks, and treatment methods for gastric ptosis?
Gastroptosis is mostly caused by insufficient diaphragmatic suspensory force, weakened or relaxed supportive ligaments of intra-abdominal organs, decreased intra-abdominal pressure, low gastric tone, and relaxed abdominal muscles. If the condition persists without recovery, it may progress to complications such as gastritis or gastric ulcers. Under medical guidance, domperidone tablets or mosapride can be used to relieve abdominal pressure. For patients with severe gastroptosis, subtotal gastrectomy may be considered.
