Symptoms of pericarditis include chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and rapid heartbeat. If the condition is tuberculous acute pericarditis, anti-tuberculosis medications can be administered. For rheumatic pericarditis, anti-rheumatic drugs may be used. In cases of purulent pericarditis, sensitive antibiotics should be selected for treatment. Patients should avoid spicy, stimulating, greasy, raw, and cold foods in daily life, and instead follow a light, nutritious diet. When edema occurs, a low-salt, high-protein diet is recommended. Attention should be paid to respiration and circulation, oxygen inhalation should be ensured, and upper respiratory tract infections should be prevented. Regular exercise, increased fluid intake, and avoidance of intense emotional fluctuations are also advised.
