Methods for First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Electric Shock Emergencies
Disease description:
A friend has been electrocuted and is now unconscious. What should I do for CPR after an electric shock?
In first aid for electric shock and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the first step is to assess the patient's condition, followed by chest compressions and artificial respiration. In electric shock emergencies, the power source must first be disconnected. Then, lay the patient supine on the ground and check for consciousness by observing whether the pupils are dilated, whether there is a pulse in the major artery, and whether the patient is breathing. Next, place both hands parallel and overlapping, interlock the fingers, and use the heel of the palm to press vertically down on the sternum. After that, open the airway and perform artificial respiration. Maintain a ratio of 30 chest compressions to 2 rescue breaths.
