What to do for cardiac arrest caused by electric shock
Disease description:
A colleague accidentally got an electric shock this morning, touched his heart, and then it stopped beating. What should be done for cardiac arrest caused by electric shock?
For cardiac arrest caused by electric shock, appropriate resuscitation measures should be performed first, followed by calling the emergency number 120 as soon as possible. Place the patient on a flat surface or a hard bed, and deliver three firm precordial thumps to the chest area initially. If this is ineffective, perform 30 external chest compressions at the lower one-third of the sternum or at the site three fingers above the xiphoid process. The compression depth should be 5–6 cm, with a rate of more than 100 compressions per minute.
