Intercostal neuralgia symptoms
Disease description:
This morning, I suddenly felt pain along the intercostal nerve. A friend suggested it might be intercostal neuritis. Could you please tell me what the symptoms of intercostal neuritis are?
The main symptoms of intercostal neuralgia include chest pain and tenderness. If accompanied by lesions in other organs or tissues, additional symptoms such as cough, sputum production, fever, back pain, and shortness of breath may also occur. Generally, patients experience a subjective sensation of rib pain, varying in intensity. The pain may sometimes be mild and dull, but at other times severe and unbearable. In serious cases, even turning over, laughing loudly, taking deep breaths, or yawning can cause intense discomfort.
