Can people with vocal cord polyps eat fish or seafood normally?
Disease description:
My vocal cord polyps are relatively severe, but I've already been quite careful with my daily diet. Can I eat fish or seafood that may cause allergic reactions under normal circumstances?
Patients with vocal cord polyps should avoid eating fishy or pungent foods during daily meals. They may consume a light diet. Additionally, patients should eat less food that is excessively cold or hot. Overly hot food can easily cause congestion of the pharyngeal mucosa and affect voice production, while excessively cold food may lead to abnormal contraction of the throat muscles, obstruct venous blood return, and impair the normal function of the vocal cords.
