Which internal organ is overheated when the ears are itchy?
Disease description:
Recently, my ears have been very itchy. I checked inside and found no earwax, yet the itching persists. I looked it up online and saw that ear itching might be due to internal organs "overheating" (excess internal heat). I've been actively trying to reduce this heat lately. Which organ's "overheating" causes itchy ears?
Itchy ears are usually caused by inflammation of the ear mucosa. Inflammation of the tympanic mucosa may cause symptoms such as fever, chills, vomiting, yellow urine, and hearing loss, which require anti-inflammatory treatment. Generally, this condition is associated with excessive stomach fire; severe kidney deficiency can also lead to ear itching and dull pain. After such symptoms occur, patients are advised not to use medications on their own. Once the underlying cause of the itching is identified, symptomatic treatment should be administered accordingly.
