What is eosinophilic cystitis?
Disease description:
Recently, after my husband returned to the village, he heard people talking about cystitis and also mentioned eosinophilic cystitis. What is eosinophilic cystitis?
Eosinophilic cystitis is a disease caused by an allergic reaction involving local infiltration of eosinophils in the bladder. In most cases, it is associated with various stimuli such as bacteria, drugs, foreign proteins, and food allergens. These allergens act as immunological stimulants, forming immune complexes within the bladder, which induce eosinophil infiltration and subsequent damage to bladder tissue. This process leads to the release of lysosomes, further exacerbating the inflammatory response in cystitis.
