Wearing an N95 mask may still result in infection with the novel coronavirus. The main transmission routes of the virus include airborne droplets, skin and mucous membranes, and direct contact with aerosols. Close-range conversations with infected individuals can lead to transmission via respiratory droplets. The virus may also enter through the skin, conjunctiva of the eyes, and other pathways, although the likelihood of such transmission is relatively low.
