What are the symptoms of genital warts in women?
Disease description:
In the past few days, I've had severe itching in the external genital area. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed some small papules around the vulva. A friend suggested it might be genital warts. Could you please tell me what symptoms this condition has?
Genital warts usually refer to condyloma acuminatum, a sexually transmitted disease commonly caused by infection with human papillomavirus (HPV). Patients may develop pale red papules around the external genitalia. As the condition progresses, these lesions may increase in number and size, typically presenting an uneven and rough surface. Their shapes can vary, including cauliflower-like, papillary, or rooster comb-like appearances.
