Does thyroid cancer cause itching?
Disease description:
I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the hospital. For the past couple of days, I've been experiencing persistent skin itching, so I'd like to ask: can thyroid cancer cause itching?
Thyroid cancer generally does not cause itching. However, if a patient develops thyroid cancer and the disease progresses to an advanced stage with liver metastasis, damage to liver cells may lead to elevated bilirubin levels, which could result in skin itching. Additionally, if a patient has an allergic reaction to thyroid medications, this may also cause itching.
