Symptoms of delayed intellectual development in young children
Disease description:
Recently, I've often felt that my child seems a bit different from other kids. He responds slowly when I talk to him, and sometimes communication is quite difficult. I suspect he might have developmental delay. What are the symptoms of intellectual developmental delay in young children?
After a young child shows signs of intellectual developmental delay, if the condition is mild, it may manifest as delayed language development, limited vocabulary, and poor comprehension and analytical skills. In cases of moderate intellectual developmental delay, symptoms may include unclear speech, inability to master simple everyday expressions, difficulty expressing thoughts completely, and poor verbal communication skills. In severe intellectual developmental delay, the child may be unable to learn normally and may not understand written language or numbers.
