My daughter hasn't grown in height over the past two years. I suspect her growth plates may have already closed. What are the signs of growth plate closure at age 13?

Signs of epiphyseal plate closure at age 13 mainly include a sudden slowdown or complete halt in height growth. During growth spurts, bones develop rapidly, often causing growth pains. If these growth pains disappear, it may indicate that bone growth has stopped and the epiphyseal plates may have closed. A decreased appetite compared to before and relatively stable physique and muscle mass also suggest possible closure of the epiphyseal plates.
