What causes a child to have a large head and short stature?
Disease description:
Over the past two years, I've noticed that my child's height hasn't changed much, but his head has become larger. What could be the reason for a child not growing taller while having an enlarged head?
A child's failure to grow properly with a relatively large head may be due to poor daily eating habits, such as picky or selective eating, malnutrition, and overall delayed growth and development. It could also result from irregular作息 (daily routines), including frequent late nights and chronic sleep deprivation. Additionally, insufficient physical activity leading to reduced growth hormone secretion, or underlying medical conditions such as genetic abnormalities or growth hormone deficiency (dwarfism), may also contribute to short stature and a large head in children.
