My son hasn't grown in height over the past two years, and his muscles have become more developed. I'm not sure if his growth plates have closed. What are the signs that growth plates are closing?

Precursors to the closure of growth plates primarily include a slowing in height growth, such as no increase in height or a明显 slowdown over the past two years. Some children experience growing pains in the lower limbs during their rapid growth phase, along with symptoms like increased sleepiness and increased appetite. When these symptoms gradually disappear, it may indicate that the growth plates are about to close. Additionally, after the growth plates close, muscles tend to become firmer and there is a noticeable increase in body weight.
