Early symptoms of cerebral palsy at 4 months
Disease description:
My baby cannot hold up his head yet. Sometimes when he lifts it, it quickly drops down. His fingers are very stiff and cannot be opened easily. I suspect cerebral palsy. What are the early signs of cerebral palsy in a 4-month-old infant?
Early symptoms of cerebral palsy in 4-month-old infants mainly manifest as abnormal posture. Parents should be alert if the infant's limbs are unusually floppy or stiff, fingers tend to curl inward, all four fingers cannot open normally, or the baby is unable to grasp objects. Other signs include dull facial expressions and abnormal reflexes. A 4-month-old infant showing limited facial expressions, emotional instability, easily startled, frequent crying, poor appetite, weak sucking ability, and slow response to surrounding stimuli may also be exhibiting signs of cerebral palsy.
