The difference between night blindness and glaucoma
Disease description:
What are the symptoms of night blindness and glaucoma, and what is the difference between them?
These are two different conditions. Glaucoma is another disease characterized by elevated intraocular pressure caused by various factors, leading to optic nerve damage. Symptoms generally include decreased vision, visual field defects, or pallor of the optic nerve. The clinical manifestations also differ. Night blindness manifests solely as poor vision in low light or at night. Glaucoma, on the other hand, can cause eye swelling and pain, soreness at the root of the nose, dryness and foreign body sensation in the eyes, conjunctival congestion, dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
