Treatment methods for platelet-type pseudo von Willebrand disease

Pseudo-von Willebrand disease is a relatively rare clinical condition and an autosomal dominant inherited disorder. The fundamental cause is molecular abnormalities in GPIb. The abnormal binding of platelets to high-molecular-weight multimers of von Willebrand factor (vWF) leads to decreased plasma levels of vWF, which may result in thrombocytopenia in patients. Clinically, patients may present with mild to moderate mucocutaneous bleeding symptoms.
