What symptoms does iron deficiency anemia cause in the skin?
Disease description:
I've recently had a very poor complexion, looking extremely worn-out. It might be iron-deficiency anemia. What skin symptoms does iron-deficiency anemia cause?
The skin of patients with iron deficiency anemia is usually pale, especially the lips, oral mucosa, and nail beds. Patients may also experience fatigue, weakness, reduced activity, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, gastrointestinal disturbances, and poor appetite. A few may develop stomatitis, glossitis, atrophic gastritis, or malabsorption syndrome. It is recommended to consume more iron-rich foods regularly, such as animal liver and pig blood.
