Prostatic calcification mainly results from urine reflux into the prostate, leading to inflammatory changes in the gland. Calcium salts in the urine may deposit within the prostate, potentially causing calcification. Most patients with calcification are asymptomatic, and some may only discover it incidentally during a color ultrasound examination. Generally, no treatment is required if there are no signs of prostatitis. However, if symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, burning sensation during urination, or white discharge after urination occur, active and standardized treatment for prostatitis should be administered.
