Gallbladder cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the gallbladder epithelium, with adenocarcinoma being the most common type. The disease often develops insidiously, and early symptoms are either absent or nonspecific. Patients with gallstones frequently experience recurrent dull pain or discomfort in the right upper abdomen. It is recommended that patients with gallstones undergo regular follow-up examinations, including an annual ultrasound scan. If gallstones are larger than 3 cm, early surgical intervention should be considered to prevent disease progression and worsening of the condition.
