Hello, facial neuritis (Bell’s palsy) manifests as paralysis of the facial muscles. Prior to onset, patients may experience symptoms such as a common cold or diarrhea. In the early stage following onset, patients typically report pain behind the ear, accompanied by facial muscle paralysis—such as drooping of the mouth corner, inability to close the eyelid, and inability to furrow the brow—as well as dysphagia and food leakage from the affected side of the mouth.
