Can uterine prolapse recover with proper care?
Disease description:
After giving birth, I've been experiencing uterine prolapse. I don't want to undergo treatment—can the uterus recover if properly cared for?
Uterine prolapse can recover with proper care. In mild cases, avoiding activities that increase abdominal pressure in daily life is recommended to prevent constipation. With adequate rest, the prolapsed organ may temporarily return into the vagina and remain in place without further protrusion. Additionally, mild uterine prolapse caused by pregnancy or childbirth can gradually improve after delivery as pelvic floor supportive structures regain function. Women with a history of prolapse should avoid excessive physical strain, chronic coughing, obesity, and other risk factors to prevent recurrence.
