What causes tongue discomfort?
Disease description:
I can feel discomfort in my tongue, and now I'm having trouble eating as well. What could be causing this tongue discomfort?
Tongue discomfort may be caused by glossitis, excessive stomach fire, or other reasons. Glossitis might result from deficiencies in vitamins or trace elements, and can be managed by taking supplements such as vitamin C, vitamin B2, and vitamin B6. Discomfort in the tongue can also occur due to excessive liver fire, stomach fire, or heart fire; in such cases, medications that clear liver fire, reduce stomach heat, or purge heart fire may be used.
