What are the aftereffects of stroke?
Disease description:
I don't know why my father-in-law had a stroke. What complications might this cause? What are the aftereffects of a stroke?
Stroke can lead to sequelae such as motor dysfunction and language impairment. Cerebral stroke may cause ischemic necrosis of brain cells, damaging the central nervous system responsible for limb movement, resulting in clinical manifestations such as hemiplegia and limb weakness, severely affecting the patient's motor function. Even with proper treatment, some stroke patients cannot recover completely necrotic brain cells, leading to symptoms such as slurred speech and impaired verbal expression.
