What are the symptoms of cerebral edema?
Disease description:
I have a severe headache and suspect I might have cerebral edema. I'd like to know how to determine this—what are the symptoms of cerebral edema?
Cerebral edema can cause symptoms such as headache and nausea. It may lead to increased intracranial pressure, primarily manifesting as headaches that can range from mild to severe. Severe cerebral edema results in elevated intracranial pressure and is often accompanied by intense headaches. In serious cases, symptoms such as nausea and vomiting may occur, and some patients may also present with papilledema. Reflexive hypertension can also contribute to the development of cerebral edema.
