I often notice obvious soreness and aching in my lower leg area. I thought it was due to excessive fatigue during the day. What should I do about muscle soreness in the lower legs?

It is best to get plenty of rest for sore calf muscles, and avoid long-distance walking or strenuous exercise temporarily. Local treatments such as soaking in warm water, massage, applying topical ethylfenamate or ester gels, or using flurbiprofen plaster may help. In cases of chronic strain or lactic acid buildup, symptoms usually improve significantly within 3 to 5 days of treatment.
