Stroke patients with cerebral infarction may experience symptoms such as limb numbness and dizziness. Patients may feel numbness in the facial nerves; this numbness is not limited to the face, but can also occur in localized areas of the limbs. They may also have difficulty walking, such as unsteadiness or veering to one side. The optic nerves may also be affected, causing symptoms such as temporary vision loss, dizziness, blurred vision, or double vision in one or both eyes.
