Uterine cysts and ovarian cysts are different. Uterine cysts typically develop in the cervix, whereas ovarian cysts are located in the ovaries. Uterine cysts are usually caused by prolonged inflammatory stimulation, although they can also be physiological. Ovarian cysts result from endometriosis, changes in estrogen levels, or inflammation.
