What does granulation tissue in early-stage tongue cancer look like?
Disease description:
What color are granulations when they appear as an early symptom of tongue cancer, and what do granulations look like in the initial stage of tongue cancer?
In the early stage, tongue cancer may present as granulation tissue or a mass on the tongue. Early symptoms of tongue cancer are sometimes not obvious and can be easily overlooked or misdiagnosed as inflammatory lesions, with poor response to drug treatment. In the initial phase, some patients may experience tongue coating decay, ulcers, or surface elevations; others may develop cauliflower-like tumors that bleed easily. If the lesion is difficult to touch, swallowing may be affected, impairing the regulation of tongue function.
