What diseases are premature babies more likely to develop as they grow up?

Preterm infants are prone to anemia, calcium deficiency, colds, indigestion, and other conditions that may lead to lung infections, oral infections, and purulent meningitis. This is because many of their organs and systems, such as the hematologic and respiratory systems, are not fully developed. Additionally, the baby's digestive capacity is relatively weak; therefore, feeding should be done in small amounts but more frequently to reduce the burden on the stomach and intestines.
