Disease description:

I have the habit of getting an annual physical checkup. This year, I was diagnosed with blocked fallopian tubes. I've consulted with doctors and learned that surgery can resolve the issue. I've decided to undergo the procedure in a few days, but I don't want to disrupt my work too much. How many days does it take to recover from fallopian tube blockage surgery?

Patients undergoing surgery for tubal obstruction typically need to be hospitalized for 3–7 days. Prior to admission, relevant examinations should be performed, including complete blood count, coagulation profile, infectious disease screening, vaginal discharge tests, electrocardiogram (ECG), and chest X-ray. The optimal timing for surgery is 3–7 days after the completion of menstruation, during which sexual intercourse should be avoided. Currently, tubal reconstructive surgery is performed as a minimally invasive laparoscopic procedure. Hysteroscopy is also required to evaluate the condition of the endometrium, checking for adhesions or polyps, as these conditions may affect pregnancy and embryo implantation. During laparoscopy, the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes should be carefully examined. If adhesions are found and separated, a dye test should be repeated to confirm whether the fallopian tubes are patent.
