Disease description:

I have infertility, but there are many causes of infertility, the most common being blocked fallopian tubes. This condition poses serious health risks to women and should be treated as soon as possible. So how can a blocked left fallopian tube be cleared?

Dr. Zhao Xiaodong
For left fallopian tube obstruction, treatments such as tubal drainage, guidewire recanalization, or hysteroscopic methylene blue high-pressure irrigation may be used. If the obstruction is severe, laparoscopic electrocautery can be performed to separate the blocked segment and restore patency. Tubal obstruction is usually caused by salpingitis. In women with obstruction in only one fallopian tube while the other remains normal, pregnancy is generally still possible, although fertility may be reduced. Patients are advised to assess the presence of tubal obstruction based on contrast medium flow and pressure during imaging; this approach tends to yield better treatment outcomes when the obstruction has not been present for a long duration or involves only certain segments.
