Will knee arthritis heal on its own?
Disease description:
I've been exercising regularly, but recently my knees have been hurting a lot. I'm quite concerned about my health. After going to the hospital for an examination, I was diagnosed with knee arthritis. Can knee arthritis heal on its own?
Knee arthritis generally does not resolve on its own. Very few patients with knee arthritis can recover spontaneously; the vast majority require systematic treatment to achieve improvement. There are many types of knee arthritis, the most common and prevalent being knee osteoarthritis, a condition caused by long-term acute and chronic injuries. Without systematic treatment, self-recovery is impossible. Even with proper treatment, a complete cure may not be achievable. Other forms, such as traumatic arthritis, hemophilic arthritis, and arthritis caused by ankylosing spondylitis, cannot be cured without treatment.
