What is lumbar disc bulge?
Disease description:
I heard from a colleague that he has lumbar disc bulging, and I'm quite puzzled. May I ask what exactly is lumbar disc bulging?
Lumbar disc bulging refers to a condition in which, under long-term stress or other influencing factors, part or all of the gel-like substance within the lumbar intervertebral disc is pushed beyond the annular ligament of the disc, resulting in structural damage to the disc. This may lead to symptoms such as pain, functional impairment, or sensory and motor disturbances in both lower limbs.
