After getting up in the morning, my husband said he had a slight fever, but we don't have any medicine at home. I'd like to know what to do when an adult has a fever but there's no medication available.

Fever generally refers to an elevated body temperature. For adults with fever, if the body temperature does not exceed 38.5°C and no other discomfort symptoms are present, medication may not be necessary. Cooling patches can be used, or warm towels can be applied to areas rich in blood vessels—such as the palms, soles, neck, and armpits—to help lower body temperature through wiping. Drinking warm water can also promote blood circulation and aid in cooling. If fever symptoms do not improve or if body temperature continues to rise, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and follow medical advice for treatment.
