It is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach. Altan Wumei Wan is a traditional Mongolian medicine primarily used to treat disorders associated with “Hei Yi” and “Xie Ri.” It effectively alleviates gastrointestinal hyperthermia, indigestion (food retention), liver and gallbladder heat syndromes, and jaundice. It also demonstrates good therapeutic efficacy for symptoms caused by gastritis—such as acid reflux, belching, dyspepsia, and epigastric pain—and is considered a relatively effective treatment for both acute and chronic gastritis as well as duodenitis. Once absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract, it forms a protective film over ulcerated surfaces, shielding them from aggressive factors such as gastric acid and thereby effectively preventing ulcer recurrence.
