Hello, if this is an allergic reaction, it warrants attention—severe allergies can be life-threatening. High-dose caffeine may cause nausea and vomiting. Caffeine is a potent stimulant of gastric acid secretion and can exacerbate duodenal ulcers. Reports indicate that decaffeinated coffee stimulates gastric acid secretion to the same extent as regular coffee. Moreover, caffeine shortens the effective refractory period of the atrioventricular (AV) node, potentially triggering various tachyarrhythmias and premature beats. One documented case involved paroxysmal atrial tachycardia following coffee consumption. I hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health!
