Where to apply acupoint patches for Sanfu贴 (Sanfu Tuo)?
Disease description:
I've heard that the Three伏 Patches (Sanfu Patches) must be applied on acupuncture points to be effective. Could you please tell me where exactly these acupuncture points are located for the Three伏 Patches?
Sanfu Patch Acupoints:
1. Head acupoints: These are located on the top of the head, temples, outer ends of the eyebrows, corners of the mouth, earlobes, and below the cheekbones. They are used to treat symptoms such as headache, dizziness, insomnia, and cerebrovascular diseases.
2. Abdominal acupoints: These are located on the abdomen, waist, lumbar ribs, inguinal region, Shaoshang point, and Geshu point. They are used to treat symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, and bloating.
3. Lumbar acupoints: These are located on the lower back, lumbar region, lumbar ribs, inguinal area, Xiaoyao point, and Zhongshu point. They are used to treat conditions such as low back pain, lumbar muscle strain, and lumbar disc herniation.
However, Sanfu patch therapy does carry certain risks, such as possible adverse reactions including skin allergies or burns. It is advisable to consult a physician before treatment to ensure safety.
