What are the symptoms of urinary tract stones?
Disease description:
My relative said they were diagnosed with urinary tract stones. What symptoms do patients with urinary tract stones typically experience?
Symptoms of urinary tract stones include difficulty urinating, dribbling urine flow, and urinary pain. Urinary tract stones refer to hard stone formations that develop within the urinary system when dissolved inorganic salts and organic substances precipitate and accumulate in the urine. These stones can cause narrowing of the urethra, impairing urine outflow and resulting in difficulty urinating—symptoms that become more pronounced when urine volume is low or urinary flow is slow. The stones may also narrow the urinary passage, preventing urine from being expelled smoothly and leading to a dribbling urine stream. Additionally, as the stones move within the urinary tract, they may irritate the urethral lining, causing urinary pain.
