How to relieve a child's stomach pain

There are many possible causes of abdominal pain in children, and treatment should be targeted based on the underlying cause. 1. Enteritis: If a routine stool test indicates that abdominal pain is caused by enteritis, inflammation and pain can be controlled under medical guidance with oral cephalosporin antibiotics. Abdominal massage may also be used to help relieve symptoms. 2. Peritonitis: If abdominal pain is diagnosed as being caused by peritonitis, antibiotics such as ofloxacin should be administered under medical supervision to reduce infection and alleviate pain. Pain relievers may also be used in combination. 3. Intestinal Spasms: If the child has abdominal pain without other symptoms, relief may be achieved through massage or warm compresses. If these measures are ineffective, antispasmodic and analgesic medications such as dl-anisodamine may be used as directed by a physician. In case of abdominal pain, prompt medical attention is recommended.
