Dr. Yang Ziqi
Patients with gallbladder swelling may benefit from taking medications such as anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets, ursodeoxycholic acid capsules, and albendazole tablets as directed by a physician. Anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets have effects of clearing heat and removing dampness, and can be used to treat conditions such as acute cholecystitis and cholangitis. Ursodeoxycholic acid capsules are bile-promoting agents primarily composed of ursodeoxycholic acid; they promote bile secretion and are used to treat symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, and nausea caused by chronic cholecystitis or cholestasis-related liver diseases. Albendazole tablets have anthelmintic properties and are used to treat parasitic infections such as ascariasis and hookworm disease, and may also help improve gallbladder enlargement.
