Methods for stopping bleeding after tooth extraction
Disease description:
Methods for stopping bleeding after tooth extraction
Immediately after tooth extraction, press the bleeding site firmly with a clean cotton swab for 10–15 minutes until the bleeding stops. You may use warm or cold compresses to help control bleeding—for example, applying a towel soaked in warm water to the extraction site, or placing an ice pack wrapped in a cloth over the area. Hemostatic agents can be used to stop bleeding; applying such agents directly to the extraction site can accelerate blood clotting and reduce bleeding. Hemostatic gauze may also be applied to the extraction site to effectively minimize bleeding.
