I have cervical spondylosis myself, which has lasted for six months. Recently, I've constantly felt that my body temperature is low, which is quite strange. I would like to ask, can cervical spondylosis cause low body temperature?

Cervical spondylosis typically does not cause low body temperature. Cervical spondylosis is primarily caused by degenerative changes in the intervertebral discs and small joints of the cervical spine. Common symptoms include neck pain, stiffness, soreness, as well as headaches, dizziness, and limb numbness resulting from compression of nerves, spinal cord, or blood vessels. These symptoms are mainly localized to the neck and its surrounding areas and are not directly related to changes in body temperature. Low body temperature is usually caused by other factors, such as physiological factors (e.g., lower baseline body temperature in the elderly, infants, and individuals with weak constitutions), environmental factors (prolonged exposure to cold environments), or medical conditions (such as hypoglycemia, iron deficiency anemia, or hypothyroidism). When low body temperature occurs, it is important to stay warm, avoid cold exposure, and seek medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
